Questions

How it works

How do I convert American odds to implied probability?

For a minus price, divide the number by itself plus 100: -150 is 150 / 250 = 60%. For a plus price, divide 100 by the number plus 100: +150 is 100 / 250 = 40%.

What do -110 odds mean?

You risk $110 to win $100. The bet needs to win 52.4% of the time to break even — that gap above 50% is the sportsbook's cut.

Is decimal or American better?

They say the same thing. Decimal odds make parlays easy (multiply them); American odds make the favourite and the underdog obvious at a glance.
