Smarter bets, beat the book

The model is a secret. The record isn't.

Specializing in NFL betting odds · 30+ years of sports betting success
On the board NFL main · NCAAF · NHL · MLB

Black Box Bets runs a proprietary model on every NFL game — and the same engine on every college football, NHL and MLB game — and prices every side against the sportsbooks. We won't show you what's inside the box; we'll show you every pick it makes, at the price it was published, and how each one landed. The safest bet in every game, the best value, parlays, "team to win + kicker" combos, kicker and player props, all graded automatically after the games.

Free account, no card needed. The box's top pick on every board, free; the full boards — NFL, NCAAF, NHL and MLB — from $9.99. 21+ only, and only where sports betting is legal.

Four boards · one membership

NFL first. Then every other card.

The NFL board leads. College football, hockey and baseball run on the same engine with the same views — safest bet, best value, parlays and a public ledger — and every plan opens all four.

Injuries · news

Questionable players are already in the number.

The box reads the official league injury report at every refresh — every Out, Doubtful and Questionable designation and every practice report the teams file — and prices it into every side before you see the projection. It doesn't wait for you to notice a starting quarterback is out.

Priced inOut and Doubtful players are weighed by position group, a starting-quarterback change moves the projection, and injured players are dropped from the prop board. What you see is the number after injuries.
Full report, game by gameMembers get the complete injury report for every game on the slate: each listed player, status, injury and practice participation, plus a one-line injury summary on every game card.
News feed by teamHeadlines from the league news wire, tagged to the teams in each game so you can filter to your matchup. Links open at the source.
Refreshed before kickoffThe board rebuilds every morning, then again Friday afternoon after the final designations, Saturday, and Sunday before the early inactives — so Sunday's number reflects Sunday's report.

NFL injury data is the official league report; MLB shows injured-list moves from the league feed; the other boards carry the news wire. Free accounts see the injury counts and the latest headlines; members see everything.

Members

What members say

“The membership paid for itself almost immediately.”

“I was hesitant to pay for another sports betting membership, but I’m so glad I did. One good weekend basically covered my membership. The amount of information and analysis you get makes the price feel like nothing compared to what I was blindly betting before.”

— Tyler Henderson, Houston, TX
“I don’t place a bet without checking this first.”

“This has completely changed the way I bet. I used to basically go off gut feeling and whatever I was hearing online. Now I check the app before I place anything. I’ve had some of my biggest wins since joining and honestly wouldn’t want to bet without it.”

— James Ledic, Calgary, AB
“It feels like having an edge everyone else doesn’t.”

“The best way I can describe it is that I finally feel like I have information BEFORE making a bet instead of just guessing. I still make my own decisions, but having all of this data in front of me has made me way more confident about what I play.”

— Sam Addison, Tampa, FL

What's on the board

Ten views of every slate

Projected scoresScore, margin and win probability for every game, next to the market's number.
Safest bet per gameThe single highest-probability side in each game — built for straight bets and parlay legs.
Value betsWhere our probability beats the price. Edge, expected value and a quarter-Kelly stake.
Parlay of the weekFive legs: the four safest moneylines plus the one spread or player prop the box likes most, with what $1,000 pays. Plus 2- to 5-leg parlays and their true hit rates.
Recommended parlaysA set of tickets every slate, every sport: a consensus ticket built by the Black Box proprietary system only where its model and public expert picks agree, safe stacks of the strongest moneylines (and the safest side to win + the busiest kicker for 2+ field goals), balanced builds, and big-payout tickets at +1000, +2500 and +5000.
Injuries & newsThe official injury report game by game — status, injury, practice participation — and a team-tagged news feed, refreshed each morning and again before kickoff.
Team to win + kicker 2+ FGsSame-game combos ranked by probability, with the kicker's expected field goals.
Kicker boardExpected field goals made for every kicker, over 0.5 / 1.5 / 2.5 probabilities, and field-goal parlays.
Player propsPassing, rushing and receiving projections with a ± range and anytime-TD odds; graded against book lines when loaded.
The ledgerEvery published pick graded against the final score. Units won and lost, week by week, nothing edited, nothing hidden.

The college football, NHL and MLB boards carry projected scores, the safest bet and best value per game, parlays and the ledger; the kicker and player-prop views are NFL only.

The ledger

Graded in public

The live ledger starts the moment the first published week has final scores — every pick on the board is graded automatically and shown pick by pick, free to every account. Until then, here is how the box tested before launch.

Read that honestly: on its own, the box calls winners a touch less often than the Vegas closing line, so it also weighs the market's price and shows you where it disagrees — rather than pretending to beat the books outright. Any service claiming 60%+ against the spread over a full season is selling you something. We sell a calibrated board and a ledger you can check.

Questions

Straight answers

What's inside the box?

A proprietary model we built and don't publish. What we do publish is everything it produces: every pick, the price it was published at, our probability next to the market's, and the graded result. Judge it by the ledger, not by a sales pitch.

How often do the safest picks actually win?

Over the 2018–2025 test, the single safest pick each week won 89.4% of the time and the top three safest won 80.1%. They're favourites, so they pay short — which is why we also show value bets and units, not just win rates.

Do you account for injuries?

Yes — before you see a number. The box reads the official league injury report at every refresh: Out and Doubtful players count against their team by position group, a change at starting quarterback moves the projection, and injured players are dropped from the prop board. Members see the full report game by game, and the board rebuilds Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday morning so late designations are reflected before kickoff.

Do you guarantee winners?

No, and nobody honest does. We publish probabilities and prices, then grade every pick in public. Favourites lose, parlays miss, and short prices carry the book's edge. Bet amounts you can afford to lose.

What exactly is the free pick?

On the NFL board, each week's single highest-probability side, with its price, our probability and the full projection for that game. A free account also opens the first play on the college football, NHL and MLB boards, plus the ledger and the pre-launch test results.

Do the plans cover every sport?

Yes. One membership opens all four boards — NFL, NCAAF, NHL and MLB — every week of the year, playoffs included. There are no separate sport or playoff passes.

When is the board updated?

Every morning. NFL lines, injuries, depth charts and rosters are re-pulled and the box re-runs; the college board rebuilds for the week, the NHL and MLB boards for that day's games. The board updates itself while you have it open, so what you see on Sunday morning reflects Sunday-morning lines.

Which sportsbooks do the prices come from?

The best available price across major US books for each side, with the vig removed to get the market's true probability. If a book you use is off the list, the fair-odds column tells you what a bet should pay.

How does the Annual plan work?

One payment of $450 covers twelve months of every board — $588 at the monthly rate, so it saves 23%. It renews yearly; cancel any time from your account page to stop the next renewal. Annual payments are non-refundable.

Can I cancel?

Any time, in one click from your account page — weekly, monthly or annual. You keep access through the end of the period you paid for, and you won't be billed again.
